Sanford City Council Meeting Mayor Jeff Tripplet to Present Proclamation for Jordan Smelski Month for Amoeba Awareness

On April 27, 2015, Mayor Jeff Tripplet and the City of Sanford, Florida approved a proclamation announcing the month of May 2015 as the Jordan Smelski month for Amoeba Awareness. The Jordan Smelski Foundation will work with the City of Sanford, Florida and the Seminole County Health Department to promote amoeba awareness before the start of the warm summer months to help raise awareness of the amoeba Naegleria fowleri and Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM).
